when i looked thru them i was really impressed with the clarity and power. from Buy.com when i recieved them i was surprised on how small they actually were but yet felt solid and well built. from Buy.com very sturdy compact binoculars. from Buy.com i knew i didnt want the huge or midsize ones because i needed something small to take with me on my trips to the philippine islands. from Buy.com then i got a copy of consumer reports and unbelievably they reviewd many different brands ranging in all sizes and costs, and they rated these binoculars higher than the $800 pairs. from Buy.com this product magnifies objects as much as much larger sets and provides a clear, sharp image. from Amazon.com the 10 in 10 x 21 is the maximum magnification (too much makes it hard to focus because the human hand shakes); the 21 is the diameter of the objective lens (bigger collects more light). from Amazon.com the eye peices were so small they did not cover my eyes and made it difficult of focus and uncomfortable on the eyes. from Amazon.com look through them, maybe focus as needed, and stuff that is far away looks bigger right? from Amazon.com it's a beautiful gem of a product, but the focus knob is so tight it is impossible to focus with one finger which makes it virtually unusable. from Amazon.com
