by the way, i'm 5'7" and a size 4, it fit great!!!!
i love that the diaper bag zips off for when we didn't need it--or so i could put the larger backpack in the overhead compartment and smaller bag under the seat on the plane.
i was looking for something smaller but still useful for short hikes.
my child was very comfortable in it, and it is easy to get the baby in and out of it.the wheels go fine on dirt, gravel and grass and it's small enough to go anywhere.
we highly recommend any parents expecting, or with small children/infants to consider purchasing this product.
as the stroller is so light and small, it was very easy to get through crowds and down the ramp to the plane.
the width and how compact the stroller is proved to be an asset on the cruise ship (with its very narrow halls).
the 2 carry handles and compact size made it easy to use public transportation.
after only one use of the patapum toddler-sized carrier, i knew it was an excellent buy.
although you may be able to wear a smaller child in the front carrier position(just an assumption because my son was older when i purchased) it was so uncomfortable wearing my toddler in the front
we are not small people and there was plenty of room in the straps to adjust to me and my husband, and it has really neat elastic bands to wrap and secure excess strapping.
it's a little small for dad now.
compact size, you can carry it everywhere ie., diaper bag, jacket pocket.
i thought i would wear a small in this carrier since i am a small framed woman and only 115 prepregnancy and 5'3", but i only saw mediums and larges.
i'm happy to see it sold here so i can order a larger size for my husband to wear.
but it's absolutely necessary that you get the right size!
but this is a great, super comfortable, one-size-fits-all (babies and mommies/daddies) carrier.
the reason why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's not quite one-size-fits-all...
the white fabric on the end of one of the ties is a small zippered pocket, about 2x2; the perfect size for stashing a pacifier!
long straps make it possible for different sized moms to wear comfortably.
also, my husband was able to wear the same size sling as i did thanks to the slight stretch in the fabric, so he also got the benefit of baby-wearing, and i really think it made him closer to our son.
the sizing is a little tricky, i had to exchnage for a smaller size, which makes it hard to purhcase when you are pregnant.
it was too small.
i am 5'4", medium-weight and i ordered size m.
i'm 5'3, and got a size 2.
the size chart can be off it you don't fit their predetermined descriptions.
i have a baby bjorn as well, which does get used, but this sling folds up small enough to stash in a pocket of a diaper bag, so i always have it with me.
i like this product a lot but i only gave 4 stars because of the size.
i initially got the wrong size too, but once you have the right one, you will never use another sling or carrier again.
hotslings baby carrier - sizes 1-5
it was a little small so i ordered another one in a bigger size.
for me, my only complaint is after i've taken my son out of it, but i am still wearing the bjorn (in the car for example) it is really bulky compared to the original model.
very comfortable on my back, easy to adjust and change sizes for me and my husband, and baby loves it.
the only thing i don't like about it is that it's getting warmer outside and with the padding i get a little sweaty where the carrier sits (the small of my back and my shoulders.) :(
this is a great carrier when your baby is small, and it seems comfortable for the little ones as well.
it also seems to fit well on a variety of adult body sizes, male/female, tall/short, thin/plump, etc.
but, small pain for a good product!
my husband makes it work, but it's a little small on him.
i like it, not too bulky and not tacky like some others.
the bottom line: this is a great, compact alternative to a stroller, especially when a stroller is not practical.
of the shoulder straps seem to want to pull into my chest a little & the sternum strap seems to put some pressure on my collarbone area, but i think part of it it too is my rather small stature.
she is small and she still fits quite well in it, it's light, and comfortable for both my husband and i.
i do miss the support that my bjorn active gives, but small price to pay for safety of our baby!
also, the size adjusts for men and women, so it works for both parents.
it also helped us to eliminate the need of a bulky double stroller.
the only concern is that it will be a little bit small for my daughter even it says that it can be used for a child up to 25 lbs.
it adjusts very easy to different size babys.
it would be nice it this came with something to solve this problem, like adult sized versions of the strap covers on a car seat.
i can usually take a nice long neighborhood walk with it just fine and i am small (5'2") and my baby is about 16 lbs.
it also folds down really small so i can stick it in my small bag.
but it is a little bulky, maybe it gets better after time.
i have recommended to seven friends that they ditch this bulky thing in favor of one without the pads and not one of them has gone back to slingeeze!
first, i wore mine all the time and want some visual/style variety and second, i found the padded edges and head pad make it a bit bulky, felt like i looked really fat when i had it on.
pros: comfortable, easy to use, baby loves it cons: looks a little bulky
one size fits all, for real!
caution, though, the peanut site said for short petite to order a small...my baby is big though and it's a really tight fit for him.
it is easy to use and compact - fits into my small purse.
this is a beautifully made, functional carrier, but make sure to choose the right size.
if you're going to buy this make absolutely sure to get the right size or it won't work.
fyi- because it doesn't adjust one size does not fit all-- my husband's shoulders are too big to wear my peanut shell, so he uses the bjorn.
because of this, it would be really hard for this carrier to be shared between two parents of different size.
it also packs so small & light that it is really easy to keep in the diaper bag and pull out whenever we get somewhere in the car.
it folds up small and goes on in an instant.
there is a really easy buckle at the waist that you can tighten down to your waist size.
the design of the ella roo is simple, beautiful and not bulky, and extremely functional.
lol :-d it's got a good sized pouch to carry keys & a cell phone in the front.
also, it carries quite a bit without looking bulky.
i haven't and don't plan on using the rain cover and it takes up space causing the pocket to be bulky.
this is one of the best features as the changing pad itself isn't bulky and taking up oo gobs of diaper bag space.
i can now carry 2 diapers, some wipes, and a small changing pad in that pocket.
it was small enough to roll up and keep in my purse for the times when my lo got tired of the stroller or car seat, it looks awesome and it very comfortable.
i bought a size bigger than i was suppose to get and it's perfect.
make sure you get the right size.
i bought the hotsling in zoie print (size 5) after hearing all the great reviews from other mothers.
i like it because it's not bulky and i can keep it in my diaper bag or car without taking up any room or adding any extra weight.
not good for very small new born less than 3 mo.
packable -- much less bulk than a baby bjorn or other structured/padded carrier; about the size of two pouch slings.
i ordered a size smaller than recommended, and i find this is a much more comfortable feel for not only me, but my girls prefer this size as well.
cons: might re-size for bigger baby, not fitted for husband the bottom line: i could not live without the new native carrier.
