the fabric is soft enough for the baby, but hard enough so you can adjust the straps every timie you want it.
it is well constructed and made with durable and heavey duty fabric.
'kangaroo time' (sink on skin time w/mom & dad as much as possible to foster growth etc) was so easy w/the bjorn-even with my own skin agains the fabric i was comfortable, so i knew my baby was too!
the blue fabric feels a bit softer to the touch than the black.
my son was 9 lbs when he was born, and hated every fabric sling that i bought.
pros: easy to usenon gender specificaffordabledurablenice fabric
pros: great design, ergonomic position for baby, durable fabric, waist belt, front, back and hip carry
sure enough when i tried on the medium there was lots of loose fabric, and although it was easy to get the baby into it, i was hitting the baby when i was walking.
i love this sling....first of all, it doesn't scream "i'm a sling!", no rings, flapping material, nutty patterns...
it does take some getting used to and it is a must to keep the fabric stretched across your shoulder so that it does not pull on it.
just make sure the baby is snuggled nice and tight, and adjust the fabric around the baby.
when this arrived i was skeptical, it is just a big piece of fabric, but from the first time we put our newborn in it we were sold.
it's so easy to use - no wrapping, just two loops of fabric - and has lots of carrying positions.
i love that there are no buckles or extra fabric and that it can be worn a number of ways.
the loop that holds the two pieces of fabric can be a little difficult to reach...it is supposed to be in the middle of your back when positioned right but seems to be a little higher on me.
i tried jacob in it at two weeks, and he didn't like it--too much fabric around his head.
another consideration - if you plan to use it in the summer, keep in mind that when properly carried in the cradle/sling position, the baby will be wrapped in 4 layers of fabric.
note about the fabric: it is very stiff when you buy it, but after one wash it softened up significantly.
the fabric is soft and beautiful, it has a really natural feel to it.
as long as you make sure the fabric is spread out, it is incredibly comfortable.
pros: incredibly comfortable, beautiful pattern, safe and sturdy cons: pricy the bottom line: i love this carrier and highly recommend it!!!
although the carrier is very well made, and the buckles are very secure, i did not like the fabric.
there are so many things i love about this sling - flexible fabric that cuddled my baby when he was only a few days old...and long lasting (he is now 18 months old and i use it to carry him on my hip)
as soon as i saw this sling i knew i had to have it just for the pattern!
the print side works great with jeans and i flip to solid to keep it from being to much with my patterned skirts my 17lbs 3mo loves it in there and ive even held my 27lbs 2yo ( she wants what baby
the solid chocolate side and the padded part was fine but the cute pattern was horrible.....needless to say it was returned :(
on the downside...i thought the price was a little steep for a loop of fabric!!!
