i improvise by placing her more upright and allowing her legs and above her shoulders to be out of the wrap, but then it isn't really hands-free since she can't fully support her head yet.

we usually put her in the newborn kangaroo hold (upright, tummy against my chest), but she also really likes the facing-outward lotus hold (i have to watch her head, of course, at this age).
