the only ding on this product is that due to its massive length, putting it on in public can be a problem (don't want your wrap hitting the dirty ground).
the only possible negative about the moby is that you have to learn how to put it on in public without it touching the ground.
that way, you aren't standing in a parking lot getting the moby all dirty while you try to put it on (it's very long and hits the ground as you're wrapping it, but not once it's wrapped).
it is very long & the ends drag on the ground when you tie it -- kind of a pain in wet weather (put it on before you leave the house).
one suggestion for those who are nervous it takes too long to get on and off, or drags on the ground while you are putting it on.
it is difficult to handle it all and it drags on the ground (or parking lot) when you are trying to get it on.
i do not like that it doesn't work for me if say i'm at the grocery store as i wouldn't want it to fall to the ground while wrapping myself in it.
this isn't a big deal in our house, but in public it can be difficult to keep the fabric from getting on the ground.
it does have a tendency to get dirty, especially with the long tails that have to be on the ground when you are putting it on, but its machine washable and my off white wrap still looks great.
one word of caution, the wrap is very long, so with my 5'3" frame, the wrap did end up touching the ground while i was putting it on (hence the 4-star rating).
i find all the fabric to be cumbersome when out & about - i don't like that the ends drag on the dirty street/ground while wrapping - and the fabric is a bit thick, so it's hot to wear outside in the
also the ends drag on the ground when i am getting it over my shoulders.
you can use your car (the inside) to get the baby in and lift it up if you are not in good enough shape to life from the ground.
it has a hard bottom that is integral to the aluminum frame so it will sit upright on the ground and lots of storage.
since these are not as tall as a backpack style, you'll either need to put the pack on the ground and kneel down, or put the pack on a table or rock.
i don't know how i will handle it outside the house without getting it sweeps the ground every time.
my only complaint is that it does get pretty warm in hot weather and takes a few seconds to get on (also a little tricky not to drag the ends on the ground if you are putting it on outside) - but
i usually put this on at home then wear it out so i can easily get her in and out w/o putting it on in public (it's not hard to put on, but long (like all wraps) so the bottom touches the ground).
it featurues a stand-alone mode for resting on the ground although the infant should not be left unatteded.
sure, i had to sit on the ground to get it (because there were no tables or anyting around) but it was fine.
