i used it on a hike with my other kids and my baby was very happy and comfortable and so was i!
i haven't tried this particular mei tai, but i'm so excited to see target getting carriers that are better for baby's spine and mom's back!
much sturdier, more durable and supportive than less structured or unpadded mei tais, and a third of the price of my babyhawk!
my daughter is 2 and a half months old and weighs 13 lbs i tired a sling and hated it i liked the baby bjorn but even the one with the lumbar supprt hurt my shoulders.
it has more structure than a ring wrap or something like the moby wrap, but it's more flexible than a baby bjorn or other carrier.
my baby loves this carrier, and i love how comfy it is for him - we had another more serious one and he got lost in it (he's 8 months old) but this one is very padded around the top so he can fall
this is a great baby carrier.
i used the baby bjorn with lumbar support for my daughter until she was 8 1/2 months old and 19 lbs.
baby backpack was the most useful baby product when mine was smaller.
baby boy loves it.
you don't need two people to put it on or help you to put the baby in.
my baby really didn't like this carrier when she was a newborn but now that she is a little older and can face out she loves it.
our baby loves to walk around the house, malls, outdoors..everywhere in it!
it was a baby shower gift and i love it.
it is designed for comfort to both you and your baby.
it worked great as our baby refused to wear hats.
my child was very comfortable in it, and it is easy to get the baby in and out of it.the wheels go fine on dirt, gravel and grass and it's small enough to go anywhere.
this is the best baby item we have purchased.
once we were down to the door, i just took our 14 month baby out, and slipped the bag over.
the backpack on the whole works very well; it is adjustable for both my husband and i as well as the baby.
the baby bjorn worked fine while our daughter, now 14 months old, was small.
we had room for a couple of water bottles and the baby's drinks as well.
pros: very cool and comfy cons: can be tough for a baby to sleep in the bottom line: get this pack - you'll use it for a long time.
i can usually take a nice long neighborhood walk with it just fine and i am small (5'2") and my baby is about 16 lbs.
great back and shoulder support for parents and it lets baby be forward facing.
i really like carrying our baby around and this is one of my favorites, the other one is the peanut shell sling in black also :-).
nice fit, i felt very comfortable that my baby was secure.
my son recently outgrew the baby bjorn (now 8 months, 17 pounds).
you can't do everything while wearing your baby, but it really does make life easier.
i was hesitant about using it at first...i was afraid that the baby would not be secure, but it has become a life saver.
it's my baby's favorite way to sleep.
the boppy sling was too awkward for me, and being short, i couldn't find a "setting" that didn't leave our baby dangling in front of my thighs, rather than my torso.
i like this sling because i can put my baby fast in and out, he can nurse easier then in a wrap (no adjustment needed) and also he has more room.
my daughter loved it when she was a baby.
our baby loves her sling- and settles down immediatly after we put her in it.
it makes such a difference to try it on with baby because if it's too low it will be extremely uncomfortable.
i have a baby wrap that i've been using since he was born, which is nice, but it's kind of a process.
i sing "goin bye byes" from baby clean fun (www.babycleanfun.com) to my 8 month old as i load her in the carrier to take a walk.
baby is comfy and warm and really likes it.
i tried another sling before this one, and my baby hated being in it most of the time and it was really uncomfortable for me too.
bought this hotsling for my daughter-in-law who had her third baby recently.
my 9 week old baby has loved the closeness of being in the sling from the very beginning.
my wife and i were looking for a carrier that could also carry the essentials for a baby and guess what?
pros: comfortable, convenient, very well made cons: can be tricky to get the baby in & is a bit large the bottom line: i recommend this carrier.
i have a four month old baby boy.
it adjusts very easy to different size babys.
i love the fact that the baby gets put on you separately.
at first we bought babybjorn carrier and then we decided to get this one because it says that you can put the baby inside the part of the carrier like in diaper and then easy to undo not interrupting
the fabric is stretchy and comfortable, and eases back and shoulder strain - even with a very big baby!
this is a fabulous baby carrier.
very comfortable for me and baby.
my baby and i love this new baby carrier.
however, i think the baby ktan baby carrier is quickly becoming my favorite.
this is a good carrier except it is a little difficult to set baby up.
the straps are comfortable and it is soft and comfy for the baby.
i purchased this carrier after registering for and receiving the parents of invention ultimate baby mei tai black reversible one-size-fits-all for my baby shower.
highly recommend, particularly for second time mothers who need to carry their baby, and have free hands for their toddler all at the same time.
this is an excellent buy for anyone whose baby doesnot like the ride in the stroller.
i found the peanut shell with this baby (mary ann) and have been using it since her birth 7 weeks ago.
it's so much easier to use than other types of baby carriers because you just slide baby in and out.
after the baby bjorn, snugli carriers, playtex hipsling...this is officially the only sling my baby will use.
we also have the baby bjorn which is great as well for my husband, i recommend having both options for different reasons (flexibility, different features).
i enjoyed using this while our baby was new, under 10 pounds.
so, my husband, baby and i went to target to try them out.
i use the baby bjorn active carrier and love that.
i unclip the top buttons (easy); up clip the side belts (easy); pull the velcro apart from his sides (a little noisy but not enough to wake the baby) and i lay the whole thing down on the carpet just
the price is wonderful compared to other baby carriers, especially considering the many great features.
i borrowed my sisters bjorn for a few months and then she needed it back because she has a new baby.
my baby hates this carrier!
my nephew's baby fell out of a playtex hip hammock at the grocery store when the seams broke in august of '05.
i purchased the baby bjorn which worked really well for us until our baby was about 15 pounds then she became too heavy so i purchased the hip hammock since it is for bigger babies.
he is stronger than me and our baby is about 20 lbs.
i originally have the classic baby bjorn carrier but did not like it too much since it caused major shoulder & back strain- my daughter was only 9 lbs.
this product is great when your baby outgrowns the front carriers like the baby bjorn.
