my baby wants to be held nonstop and this product has been wonderful for us.
and used it when my baby was only a few days old.
i love that i can totally cover my baby to make it dark adn quiet so he can nap while i carry on with life.
i practiced in the house and around the neighborhood a couple of times to find out how to tie it and the best position for my baby.
i was a major skeptic when it came to baby wearing/wraps but after 7 weeks at home with a colicy baby with reflux and an active and very jealous 3 year old, i was getting desparate!
this takes a little bit of getting use to, but it is by far the least complicated thing that i have for my baby.
there are so many things i love about this sling - flexible fabric that cuddled my baby when he was only a few days old...and long lasting (he is now 18 months old and i use it to carry him on my hip)
he was a colic baby and the only way i could get him to sleep was by putting him in our peanut shell.
they have just the right amount of stretch to grow with baby.
i have a colicy 8 week old baby and i haven't got anything done around the house b/c of him needing to be held all the time.
it's comfortable without pulling on your back and allows you full control of your baby.
this product was recommended to me by several medical practitioners so i of course opted for it over the baby bjorn or popular sling.
i always put my baby in it to grocery shop, which takes at least an hour each time (we walk to the grocery store and back).
with the moby, weight is more evenly distributed (across shoulders and back) and it is the most comfortable way of carrying baby i've found.
my son was too small for baby carriers like the bjorn at birth so i tried the moby wrap and we love it.
mom has found it to have a more natural feeling/carrying position and less painful on the back than the baby bjorn.
i received a different carrier and both me and my baby hated it.
the 'active' part of this carrier is extra back support and a nice feature but i was unsure how much more support it gave over the standard baby bjorn.
we decided to purchase the active carrier because we planned to use it frequently and we were warned that we would have a big baby, therefore, we opted for the extra support of the active model.
i have a big baby, and this product made it comfortable to carry him, with the lumbar support.
this product works better if your baby is a little older, when he is too young his head bounced around alot and so you have to use one hand to support it.
i would definitely recommend purchasing this product to any mommy that does a lot of traveling, has a baby that likes to be held or just have free hands for other stuff, like taking care of another
yes, this is a positive review and i told you that i loved it so...then i figured out that because it is the perfect length and width of fabric you can make up your own positions and "tie" your baby
it's better than the bjorn style because baby is snuggled right up to you.
but i was still afraid to put baby in it.
we are new parents to twins, and i purchased this sling because of the ability to actually have two newborns in here it once.
great alternative to the knot-wrap baby carriers.
my baby and i love this new baby carrier.
this is a fabulous baby carrier.
very comfortable for me and baby.
i used it on a hike with my other kids and my baby was very happy and comfortable and so was i!
i recommend it to everyone with a baby or toddler.
i haven't tried this particular mei tai, but i'm so excited to see target getting carriers that are better for baby's spine and mom's back!
much sturdier, more durable and supportive than less structured or unpadded mei tais, and a third of the price of my babyhawk!
my daughter is 2 and a half months old and weighs 13 lbs i tired a sling and hated it i liked the baby bjorn but even the one with the lumbar supprt hurt my shoulders.
this kelty is by far the most comfortable for your baby!
i have a 13 year old and back when she was a baby, this thing was sooooo heavy, that i basically never used it.
it adjusts in many ways, both for baby and parent.
our baby (18 months) is really happy in this, it's much more comfortable for her at this age than the ergo, plus she gets a better (higher) view.
i have been trying to find a carrier that would fit a three year old as my daughter still loves to ride in one, and we enjoy the freedom to go hiking.
kelty fc 3.0 baby backpack.
i purchased it for an upcoming vacation in the adirondacks where my husband and i want to take our baby hiking with us.
we do a lot of hiking in the summer and we just purchased this kelty 3.0 i definately recomend it.
there is enough room for baby and myself for a day hike.
we were doing lots of hiking around glacier national park, but we also wanted it for walks around the neighborhood.
it is very helpful in shopping with an infant without the infant carseat carrier but not quite good enough at sitting up by himself.the only recommendation i have is to buy some strap covers to go
my baby loves this carrier, and i love how comfy it is for him - we had another more serious one and he got lost in it (he's 8 months old) but this one is very padded around the top so he can fall
this pack worked great until today when i went to fold it up after we came back from our hike something inside the folding mechanism on the leg broke.
we did a 4 mile hike and went to a festival with it.
the first time i used it i had no problems, the second time was on a real hike and after a mile my right shoulder hurt a lot.
we wanted to get a child carrier that either he or myself could wear on hikes or just out for a walk.
pros: •high-quality construction •overall comfort for adult and baby •kickstand always ready to help set-down cons: •topper shield does not prevent neck sunburn •no place to stash a drink
he is a big baby though so i am not sure how long i will get to use it because i am sure he will soon be too heavey despite how big they say baby can be for it.
my baby is six months, and 22lbs, this sling is such a help with out it i wouldn't be able to carry him everywhere with me!
i prefer to carry my baby around with me and this makes it so much easier.
at first it may seem confusing, how to fold it, where to put the baby, etc, but you'll have it down with a little practice and then wonder how you ever thought it was hard.
i had to return the size 3 i purchased (it was too tight) for a size 4 (for a newborn).
my baby ktan is so easy to wear and feels like a t-shirt.
however, i think the baby ktan baby carrier is quickly becoming my favorite.
carried my 10 month old baby in this sling at the airport for almost 2 hours due to delays.
she also likes the baby bjorn, but the hotsling lets her rest without having to hold her head up all of the time.
a very convenient way to have the baby with me while i do some things around the house, eat a meal or check my email.
i have a 3 week old baby who loves this sling.
i bought this when my son was 11 months old because he was getting too heavy to carry but my stroller and hiking backpack were both too cumbersome for many places.
my daughter loved it when she was a baby.
our baby loves her sling- and settles down immediatly after we put her in it.
it makes such a difference to try it on with baby because if it's too low it will be extremely uncomfortable.
i have a baby wrap that i've been using since he was born, which is nice, but it's kind of a process.
i sing "goin bye byes" from baby clean fun (www.babycleanfun.com) to my 8 month old as i load her in the carrier to take a walk.
the backpack on the whole works very well; it is adjustable for both my husband and i as well as the baby.
we hiked in the rockies and our 14 month-old daughter loved being in this carrier!
so far i am using it to walk the dog for several miles at a time and on some light hikes, and it has been wonderful!
the baby bjorn worked fine while our daughter, now 14 months old, was small.
i was determined to find a backpack that could be used for urban walking as well as country hiking.
it is safe, easy to use, and comfortable for the parent and the baby.
we bought a larger kelty child carrier when my older daughter was born and have loved it for hiking, but when we were preparing for a trip to london, we realized travelling with two strollers (or a
it's great for hiking, walking the dog and trips to the zoo!
it's great for both short and long hikes.
i was looking for something smaller but still useful for short hikes.
