she is not a little baby anymore (all 18lbs) and with my sciatica i have to be very careful to make sure that my back is not strained.
a single carrier can be used in left or right side position, in front and you can also nurse baby discreetly.
i've tried 4 different types of carriers and this is the only one that my 8 month old enjoys and my back can handle.
love the product..how you can change positions without removing baby and harness for various purposes...how daddy can wear it comfortably, too; how well it is made.
after reading many online reviews, asking other baby-wearers, and trying four other baby carriers, it is my opinion that the ergo is the best carrier for my baby and for me.
it holds the baby tight against my torso and is so comfy.
it was a bit large, baby kinda "bounced" in it.
you can google peanut shell's web site to get all the directions for the various ways you can "wear" your baby in it.
i like my peanut shell because it is easy to get the baby into it since it is non-adjustable.
this sling is amazing and when baby is little it's wonderful.
breathable fabric cons: a little on the pricey side the bottom line: a great product to use to carry your baby.
the only reason i gave it 4 stars is becuase it is a little difficult to manuever baby in and out.
the material and quality is great, but my daughter was just to heavy for it, walking any where for more than 15 minutes, hurt my back, so it just didn't work for me.
easy on the back, and pretty stylish as well.
the adjustments are easy to make and the product, once you get the hang of it, is easy to use with baby.
my baby wants to be held nonstop and this product has been wonderful for us.
not only is it much more comfortable then the bjorn, but it breathes better, and my baby will nap in it longer then the bjorn.
i love that i can totally cover my baby to make it dark adn quiet so he can nap while i carry on with life.
and used it when my baby was only a few days old.
i practiced in the house and around the neighborhood a couple of times to find out how to tie it and the best position for my baby.
this takes a little bit of getting use to, but it is by far the least complicated thing that i have for my baby.
there are so many things i love about this sling - flexible fabric that cuddled my baby when he was only a few days old...and long lasting (he is now 18 months old and i use it to carry him on my hip)
he was a colic baby and the only way i could get him to sleep was by putting him in our peanut shell.
they have just the right amount of stretch to grow with baby.
i have a colicy 8 week old baby and i haven't got anything done around the house b/c of him needing to be held all the time.
as for the product itself, yes it looks strong enough for a baby to be held up right without having him/her look as if she is ready to fall out like cheap brands.
it's a great product and our little girl loves being in it, but we do wish that we had gotten the model with the additional back support.
we even took it on a 3-hour hike once and our baby was so comfortable and slept the whole time.
i have used it for shopping hands free, for hiking with the baby, and for getting things done around the house.
it is a very nice carrier that is very easy to put your baby in and out but it does lack the back support that the sport model has.
this product was recommended to me by several medical practitioners so i of course opted for it over the baby bjorn or popular sling.
it is true what others are saying this product is really easy n your back, i have tried others and this one is far more better.
it's comfortable without pulling on your back and allows you full control of your baby.
i use it all the time for walks, i used it sometimes around the house and even used it last weekend to take my three month old on her first airplane trip (a definite must if you don't purchase an
i always put my baby in it to grocery shop, which takes at least an hour each time (we walk to the grocery store and back).
the 'active' part of this carrier is extra back support and a nice feature but i was unsure how much more support it gave over the standard baby bjorn.
we decided to purchase the active carrier because we planned to use it frequently and we were warned that we would have a big baby, therefore, we opted for the extra support of the active model.
it gave me back my arms and hands as my baby snuggled into my chest.
he's guaranteed to fall asleep within minutes when he's in it, and it's so much easier on our tired backs than some of the other carriers we've tried.
i have a big baby, and this product made it comfortable to carry him, with the lumbar support.
it's better than the bjorn style because baby is snuggled right up to you.
it is very easy to use, many carrying positions (8), can nurse my baby in it privately, very soft comfortable material, and it is comfortable on my back (it has a back support band that slides up and
we are new parents to twins, and i purchased this sling because of the ability to actually have two newborns in here it once.
great alternative to the knot-wrap baby carriers.
my baby and i love this new baby carrier.
this is a fabulous baby carrier.
i used it on a hike with my other kids and my baby was very happy and comfortable and so was i!
i recommend it to everyone with a baby or toddler.
plus, she can nurse in it, unlike the snuggli, which has a pad between me and her, making nursing impossible (why they designed it that way is beyond me; must be designed for men!).
i've used it for a back carry and hip carry and it's the best!
i haven't tried this particular mei tai, but i'm so excited to see target getting carriers that are better for baby's spine and mom's back!
this kelty is by far the most comfortable for your baby!
my son is 10 months and he wont go back in his stroller after this!!
i have a 13 year old and back when she was a baby, this thing was sooooo heavy, that i basically never used it.
it adjusts in many ways, both for baby and parent.
our baby (18 months) is really happy in this, it's much more comfortable for her at this age than the ergo, plus she gets a better (higher) view.
in all i would say this is a pretty great product considering it is inexpensive compared to other brands.i did find that when my baby was about a month old and i took her out with me on a shopping
about a month old and i took her out with me on a shopping trip i took the bus and also walked alot she slept in it the whole time about 3 hrs.however my back hurt afterward and she was about 10lbs.
i have no doubt that this product would be able to handle a baby up to 26 pounds, but i wouldn't want to put that sort of strain on my shoulders.
it was so nice to have my little boy near me and not worrying about carrying and balancing a heavy carseat (especially after my c-section!) or using the baby seats in the shopping carts.
my baby is 4 months now and loves to go along with me when i water the lawn, go to the store and even grandma loves it too.
kelty fc 3.0 baby backpack.
i purchased it for an upcoming vacation in the adirondacks where my husband and i want to take our baby hiking with us.
we do a lot of hiking in the summer and we just purchased this kelty 3.0 i definately recomend it.
there is enough room for baby and myself for a day hike.
when everything is adjusted correctly and you put your baby in and start walking, it feels great too.
the bottom line: i like this design; it has the fit and comfort features of a real expedition backpack and the carrier keeps the child safe and snug.
we wanted to get a child carrier that either he or myself could wear on hikes or just out for a walk.
we ended up buying a second hand kelty backcountry for our two year old and fits her much better.
pros: •high-quality construction •overall comfort for adult and baby •kickstand always ready to help set-down cons: •topper shield does not prevent neck sunburn •no place to stash a drink
Our Rumba is several years older than this model but looks identical.
it is very helpful in shopping with an infant without the infant carseat carrier but not quite good enough at sitting up by himself.the only recommendation i have is to buy some strap covers to go
my baby loves this carrier, and i love how comfy it is for him - we had another more serious one and he got lost in it (he's 8 months old) but this one is very padded around the top so he can fall
after an on line and store search, this backpack seemed the best product and easiest to obtain using the store pick up.
this pack worked great until today when i went to fold it up after we came back from our hike something inside the folding mechanism on the leg broke.
we did a 4 mile hike and went to a festival with it.
