I was in search for a table top radio with an Ipod aux. input and tested all of them available at Target. The Crosley, surprising to me, had the best sound without question. The bass and treble are very natural and smooth. from Amazon.com A friend recommended the Crosley Solo Radio. He said it was comparable to Bose. from Amazon.com When I think of the money I've spent on high-end receivers, its just ironic that this cute little inexpensive thing delivered so much better performance, it made everything else sound like junk. Its currently connected to a hi-fi class amplifier that cost 21 times more than this little receiver. I liked the Crosley Solo so much because of its ability for cleaner performance from distant stations--and all of the stations are distant from my house. The easy way: Try this with headphones and you may get the highest quality sound you've ever experienced from audio equipment that costs less than a car. from Amazon.com $100 isn't what it used to be - but it should buy a better-performing radio than this thing and there are plenty of other choices to better fill most needs. Beware ANY company that revives a once-renown manufacturer's name to pawn off cheap goods with a nostalgia ploy. I have enjoyed to listening jazz, classical music, but it is individual. Compare with Boston Acoustic, Crosley Solo has more rough bass than Boston.
