Its sounds very good in quiet environments and it functions out of the box. I'm writing this review because I upgraded my iPod to the Touch 2nd Gen. The JBL Radial Micro still puts sound through the dock connection and fits the iPod Touch, however, it won't charge because of the new requirement from Apple to have a apple authentication chip. I still give it 4 stars, because it works perfectly with my old nano and my 5th generation iPod 30gb.
I have had the JBL Micro Docking Station for about 2 months and everything continues to work as designed. Used in my office at fairly low volumes, it performs well for background music, looks great on my desk and was very easy to setup and use.
The JBL Radial Micro is a great addition for an office sound system. It's small enough to be out of the way and yet powerful enough to give you a great sound.
I really enjoy the sound of this JBL ipod speaker system. I have it at work, and it's small enough that it doesn't take up space on my desk.
Bose has essenetially always been a household name when it comes to superior docking products for Apple's iPod. However, with regards to controls, the Bose system provides us with a lackluster design and limited interface. The JBL boasts superior user interface and, although subjective, equal or superior aesthetics. The JBL remote control allows a user to interact with 100% of the iPod's user menus.
For the size speaker, this little guy produces excellent sound, especially if you're trying to fill a single room with music. I'd recommend the larger JBL Radial Speaker (non-Micro size) for situations needing a bigger sound (multiple rooms, up and downstairs, etc.).
Though looking like it belongs in the "iSpeakers" department, make no mistake, this is an excellent product, well worth the money. There is no comparison to cheap (and sometimes not so cheap) docks and speakers, JBL's creation can play your tunes. There's bass, the highs are clear, mid frequencies are there too.
I purchased the JBL speaker system for my iPod. At first it worked very well and I was very pleased.
This is a good miniture versions of the legendary JBL Radial iPod dock, but does not feature the same sound quality due to the use of smaller speakers, and other cost cutting measures. Be sure to also consider the full powered version: JBL Radial High-Performance iPod Loudspeaker (Black)
I wanted something for our front room that was small and still filled the room with my music. I was looking at a bose system but of course its way to expensive for just my ipod. Anyways my husband went out and bought this JBL and I love it! My music sounds wonderful and it has a big sound for such a small system.
