I have had more expensive systems with call and message forwarding, multiple "Mailboxes" etc and every time the power "Hicuped," you had to go in and redo the messages then make sure the system was in the proper Mode to receive calls.

Used this new answering machine's power adaptor on the old machine and it saw that the power is working so it's not the adaptor.
