my allergic boyfriend swears he feels a huge difference. whereas the cats and i just think it feels airier and less stinky in here. a bit noisy on the high setting (but depending on your mood you may not care) and very quiet on the low. from Amazon.com I liked this so much I bought another. My allergies have disappeared inside the house (now if the ragweed/pollen outside could just disappear...) The filters last a long time (6 months with continuous use) and I like the ionizer option - if you leave it on, the dust in the air falls to the floor in little balls you can sweep up.
