I just ordered my second. No, it does not capture all the smoke, and you'll want to ditch the glass ashtray that comes with, but it takes a good bit of the nasty stuff out of the air, according to my wife, who does not smoke and really notices. And it is absolutely silent.
I was so excited about this product, but it just doesn't work as promised. I'm reviewing this based on buying TWO ionic smokeless ashtrays.
If I had the option of zero stars, I would have put that. It says to "clean often" and you'll know why. It may filter the smoke as it goes in, but it leaves a disgusting smell on the lid. I used it one time, for one cigarette and put it back in the box.
Does nothing to clean or filter smoke. Don't waste your time and money ... get a Pollenex smoke grabber ashtray instead.
We received it broken.. I don't have the oriinal box to send it and don't know what to do so just bought another one in a local store
:) P. S. cigarettes can't rest properly in the ashtray provided since the grooves are too small - but you can use any other ashtray of the same size.
