of course i securely mounted it through a wall as opposed to a window and added extra weather stripping (cushioned tape) to relieve any potential vibration within the unit.
weather hasn't allowed us to use it yet but i'm looking forward to it.
ac unit is great cools nicely only con is the noise but i can live with that in 105 degree weather.
cons: could have included more weather stripping.
i think this ac is great i live on the third floor of an apartment building and it gets really hot this is the first ac that works great i dont even know what the weather is outside its so cool in
i tried this and it didn't stay in place so i put a piece of foam weatherstripping behind it to hold it out from the coils and the unit has worked great since.
i'm not really a read the instructions kinda guy but don't recall having any issues with it other than maybe the top screws with the weather stripping.
just in time for 95 degree weather.
living in florida this time of year, we are having 90+f weather and very high humidity.
one has to buy more weatherstripping and a larger piece to fill the gap (we used plexiglass) product attributes: value:
weather strip insulation is kind of lousy, i'd get some more denser foam.
we had purchased this amcor portable air conditioner in anticipation of hot summer weather and are glad we got it when we did.
now bring on the hot weather.
other than that, the sharp cv-p10mx i have for a year has been working as advertise, cooling down a 9x15 area pretty well in 90 degree weather.
while i did screw the retainer into place over the supplied foam inside of the window frame (not within the travel of the sash, but further inside the room, with just enough clearance for the window
it really keeps the living area cool in the 90 degree weather which we have during the summer months almost every day.
have had this a week, and this weekend 97 degree weather is due, what timing!
most of my issues are with the weather here (texas) and not with the unit itself..
