this a/c has a thermostat, variable fan speed, ionic air cleaner, timer, and energysaver feature.
i like this air conditioner for its energy efficiency, excellent cooling capability, easy to live with sound level, air cleaning option with easy to clean filter, and remote control.
it's very energy efficient and yet seems to just be cranking out the cold - there have been a few times where the room has been flat-out chilly, and i don't have a household that goes overboard on
it's a very affordable unit for the reliability and energy efficiency.
again, overall, i am very happy with this purchase and i especially like that it is an energy saver.
with energy saver, it turns off for substantial periods so not noisy all the time.

describe yourself: renter pros: accurate temperature controls, cools the whole room, energy efficient, quiet best uses: small room
it is much lighter and easier to install, energy efficient and blows cold air forever without turning into a block of ice, but....
it's a energy star room air conditioner that works great in my backyard workshop.
edit: oh yeah forgot to mention, it truly is energy saver.
if we use it during the day, we use the energy saver feature; at night, this is a little noisy, so we leave it on "cool".
it's far quieter than the last model and includes new features like energysaver, a timer (count down), and a remote!
i now have two units and they easily cool the entire first floor of my home.they are quiet, easy to install, energy star rated and has features that make it quite honestly, perfect.i did not rate the
cools realy well, and it does not use a ton of energy!
truly energy efficient.
as indicated on the unit, and will go into energy mode.

cools large bedroom when outside is 99-100; very quiet, good "energy saver" mode.
good energy star rating.
cons: energy star mode is annoying, fan start/stop every 3-4 min, just put on low fan.
pros: quiet, light and energy efficient.
pros: very quiet for bedroom operation and blows air upward not across the room cons: very poor cardboard container construction, retail price 25% higher than other brands the bottom

there's a mode called "energy saver" and it's not explained anywhere.
pros: quiet, solid, energy-saver mode, powerful, sleek, made by same company that made my awesome cellphone
i think that it performs great and deliver cool air as planned and has a good energy saver feature.
very nice air-airconditioner, love that it is an energy saver, can progtam it to come on about an hour before i get home from work, it is digital and has a remote
it is easy to program & energy efficient!
the energy consumption of older models kept me from buying one.
i thought this a/c would be perfect for my den; i wanted to reduce energy consumption during the long hot tx summers.
it is easy to operate, and the energy saver mode is terrific.
i love the energy saver feature that shuts it down when it's cooler outside than in.
i especially like the energy saver feature.
energy saver with a 9.5 eer rating.
i also chose this model because of the energy rating, but after reading the other reviews, i'm worried about that too---we'll see.
however, we bought an energy savers electricity tester and plugged in this unit and a range of other small appliances at the house.
cons: theres no energy saver button!
dont like that it doesnt have energy saver though.
i withheld the 5 star rating because its not energy star rated.
after a decade and a lot of worry about energy usage, we decided to try a portable air conditioner.
first of all, heat is energy and you can't just make it cease to exist.
control by remote control are right on the panel of the aric conditioner i am very proud of all of the functions on the control panel, and especially the energy saver and all of works extremely well.
the only issue we have is the energy saver settings are a little different than what the book states.
+...multiple settings, with 3 fan speeds (high; med; low) for each: "fan"; "cool"; "energy saver"; and "dehumidifier".
the 10,000 btu haier window air-conditioning that i have purchased from wal-mart on the internet, works extremely well in a 200 square-foot room, it is very easy to control by remote control are
this is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy.
plus, it uses much less energy than a window cooling unit.
overall, we use it more as a humidifier, but it does help us to increase the thermostat a few degrees at night when we run it in the bedroom, which saves a little on energy costs.
not to mention also lowering my electric bill with the energy saver mode, which was a shocking bonus since it's 12,000 btu's larger than my old one.
this is a large unit, but still has great energy efficient features!
the energy saver setting will not work, it keeps running with the compressor on.
have not been able to see our this month bill, cannot tell if it's more energy efficient.
describe yourself: homeowner pros: accurate temperature controls, cools the whole room, energy efficient best uses: bedroom, large room, office, small room
pros: accurate temperature controls, cools the whole room, dehumidifier, easy window installation, energy efficient, even air distribution, quiet best uses: medium sized room describe yourself:
i thought that was a pretty good price for an 8000 btu energy star rated machine.
using the energy saver feature the unit is bound to wake you up every time it comes on.
