it's not as efficient or quiet as an equivilent window unit, but i live in a 50's modern with slider windows and it does the job great.
great choice if you have crank windows that open outward.

well, i have anderson casement windows, so i have this unit hooked up to my upstairs bedroom in which i installed a dryer vent in the bottom, corner of the room for easy removal of the warm exhaust,
