Best Portable Air Conditioners for Plug

this thing works excellent....not very noisy..quiter than most portable a/cs and way way quieter than window models...of course.dehumid.

i bought this to keep my home recoding studio nice and cold.

so i had the option of buying many upon many window-fitted a/c's or just buy one of these.

this all because i wanted to avoid a window unit.

pros: no huge window unit to install, cools nicely, attractive unit, remote control, timer cons: loud, bad manual, air only blows left/right, horizontal vent doesn't move, air blows too hard

we are in upstate ny and our apartment was built with no ac so on 80-90 degree days i was toasty.

window unit could be better.

you may note that you will need to get additional foam to seal your window properly, and you may need an electriction to upgrade a circuit breaker wherever you plug this in.

the only drawbacks are that you need the remote to operate it other than basically turning it on and the window installation pieces are very cheesy.

pros: efficient, cools nicely, remote easy to operate, quiet cons: window kit flimsy, pricy the bottom line: highly recommend to anyone.

cons: lots of drainage required, flimsy window kit, no drainage tube provided.

did a lot of research and thought this product would work, but unless you live in a 100 square foot box with no windows or doors, keep looking.

bought to boost cooling in my 10x14 home office -- one computer, shaded windows, 2nd floor of a well-insulated townhome -- and to my surprise it can't do the job.the mfg claims up to 400 sq ft

i have had better luck opening all the windows and using the ceiling fan and a window fan.

this came with no foam for window as it said.
