Best Portable Air Conditioners for Weather

pros: no huge window unit to install, cools nicely, attractive unit, remote control, timer cons: loud, bad manual, air only blows left/right, horizontal vent doesn't move, air blows too hard

we are in upstate ny and our apartment was built with no ac so on 80-90 degree days i was toasty.

window unit could be better.

the slat that they give you does not fit into the window properly, i have places where the air comes in.

the hot exhaust and the thin exhaust tubing is probably heating the room as it cools poor design, getting a window unit next time and punching a hole in the wall for it.
