the machine also uses air condensation to cool the ac coils further so it is very energy efficient with great air floor and cools very well.
if you don't set it right it will go into an energy saving mode where it just recycles the air instead of blowing cold air all the time.
obviously its a bit noisy, but its got a pretty fast fan, so i don't think its going to get much quieter for what it is - just understand before ordering.other thoughts: paid only a couple more bucks
very, very quiet.
pros: low energy cost, moderate power, portable
small footprint.
a portable air conditioner!
it doesn't cool as well as an $89 5000btu window mounted a/c.
pros: quiet and convenient
i bought the 700 pinquino a/c unit because of its excellent energy efficiency and quiet operation.
used in small server room -it generated more heat than it cooled.
we replaced it with a sanyo pc811 and at 400bucks less is so much better and quieter
this portable air conditioner works great.
that may have to do with the fact that it operates at 110 volt, rather than 220 like many ac units that are built into apartment walls.
it just kind of stalls at that point and only slowly gets cooler.note: the window units do save electricity over my central air.
reviewer images (click to see full-size image) (click anywhere inside this popup to close it) what's great about it:?quiet, and cranks out really cold air.
when the unit is on it sounds like an air conditioner inside your car, no big deal.
it also blows the coldest air compared to any other energy star a/c.
the noise on high (like most window units) is loud, but i've learned to get used to it.
had a brown out yet to verify it resets itself, but i'm sure i will!!this is my 2nd kenmore air conditioner (last yr bought a new / smaller unit for a bedroom) and i would definitely buy another!
it's also not so heavy /bulky that i can't lift it.i really love the energy saver setting so it cycles itself off and doesn't turn the room into a refrigerator!i haven't had a brown out yet to verify
i live in a 2 bedroom appartment and it keeps the temp at 68 when it is a 100 out.would recomend it to anyone.
it cools my 400 square foot living room really fast, and is pretty quiet as a/c units go.
i especially like the remote control and how quickly and quietly it cools off the room.
the first one i ordered, unfortunately, was damaged/defective: when i added water, it flooded my bedroom floor (amazon was excellent with the return).
...the delonghi water-to-air portable air conditioner is a great purchase.
i have used a delonghi portable a/c for about 15 years (that's how long it lasted, so a very good investment).
it would be perfect if it was at least one third smaller and came in other colors.
it's quiet, it cools a room very quickly.
Pros: Cheap, normal
Pros: Cools quickly, remote control feature, digital temperature display, quiet
Pros: None!
Pros: Good value, cools quickly, nice features, great EER of 10.8
Pros: Quiet, quickly cools off even the largest room!
Review: I am very unhappy with this air conditioner.
The Bottom Line: Looking for a nice quiet small room A/C, go to your Home Depot, and get this Maytag A/C
Pros: cheap price, remote control, easy to install
Pros: Decent Cooling
Pros: Inexpensive, energy efficient, relatively easy to install
Pros: Price, Remote, Thermostat
