First, the unit arrived with no external damage and the unit looked in perfect shape. However, after installing the unit in the window and turning it on while connected to a generator there was a problem in that the fan did not start up. from Amazon.com First off, this air conditioner was delivered about 5 days earlier than the delivery estimate which was awesome. Getting it ready to put in my window was easy and I was able to do it by myself. The only hard part was screwing on the top railing because the top of the air conditioner bowes down a bit and there is padding added to the top rail, probably for insulation, which made it impossible to get the tiny screws to attach to the top of the air conditioner through the padding. from Amazon.com Decided to put a window unit into the bedroom so I could have snow without freezing out my daughters. Room is approximately 600 square feet and I already have central air - so this is just for topping off (cooling) the temperature. from Amazon.com Delivery was horrible; the package was smashed up beyond belief. Good price/convenience of door delivery. Forget about watching TV at a normal volume or having a quiet conversation with one in the room from Newegg.com I purchased this 6K BTU unit and a 12KBTU unit just like it about one month ago to go into my mothers house. The units work very well as far as cooling capacity however the 6K BTU unit has NO DRAIN hole! from Amazon.com
