It was so loud that I had to go and sleep in my son's room. Plus it didn't even cool my 160' square room.
A few minor "adjustments" to get screws to line up with the holes right, but all in all my room is cool. Our central AC unit went out on us a few weeks ago and I had a Haier in here, purchased this one to replace it so that it could be moved to another room. I like the fact it shows you the room temperature.
I have a 10'x12'x8' high room that I expected this air conditioner to be able to cool. There is nothing heat generating in the room except for the light bulb and my son.
I think it cooled great. It is for a small room. I do keep a box fan in the room to move the air around. I also put a sheet up on my door to keep the cool air in.
product was a perfect fit for window.
The Haier Air condition was terrible when I received the shipment there was scratched on the bottom of the air conditoner and I have a smaller room than what it is suppose to cool and it is constantly warm air poring out while on cool and not fan. crazy huh I would recommened ermerson
From initial power up, the unit makes a horrendously loud banging noise. I checked inside with a flashlight, and the fan is rubbing against the back wall. The only good thing about this product is that it actually cools down the room, sorta, but the lawnmower sound makes it completely unusable. I recommend spending a few more dollars and getting something else.
This air comditioner was bought for my 99year old aunt who lives alone in a very small house which had only one small room air conditioner until this one was installed. Even with poor eyesight, and limited physical ability she has been able to set the temp.
Works fine, remote is easy to use, looks good. It's a little on the noisy side but for the price, and Energy Star rated, it's a good value.
