the weatherstripping is inferiror because it sticks to everything and can't be lifted for repositioning (but don't let it affect your decision,the window kit is easy and well-designed) pros:

there is only one room that i can install any a/c unit and i need to be able to unintall it out of the window easily (versus trying to take out a window unit).
