12000 btu ran it for 3 days all day and evening in 90 degree weather the bedroom never got below 77. from Circuitcity.com other online reviews i've read of portable air conditioners all seem to indicate they don't cool very well - use this only as a last resort if you can't use a window unit - it's an expensive way to from Circuitcity.com it's solid for a in-room ac unit, if u can't use a window unit. from Circuitcity.com it's more of a hastle then the window a/c. from Circuitcity.com very noisey and has this giant dryer vent tub that must be vented by a window . from Circuitcity.com the tube that you have to put out the window is huge and cumbersome but the two biggest problems is its power and water tank. from Circuitcity.com portable only applys with window to window. from Circuitcity.com no the water collector wasn't full,yes there was a large enough circuit it was pluged into and yes there was a clean straight shot to the window for the vent. from Circuitcity.com it does a good job, but i don't know that i would want to rely on it alone.pros: simple setup and removal (small panel & hose in window vs. from Circuitcity.com after running all day, my bedroom is only a few degrees cooler than the outside. from Circuitcity.com
