it does cool my bedroom; which is small and my hallway. from Target.com what's great about it:?remote control, control panel what's not so great:?noisy and not cool enough from 11am to 9pm "i purchased this a/c for a small bedroom13x 10. from Bestbuy.com it is for a small room. from Walmart.com having recently just come over from the uk i found it an absolute god-send terrific value, does what it says on the box, for a small living area . from Target.com what's great about it:?all digital what's not so great:?quieter somewhat more than our ge we had "we had a 5000btu ge and replaced it with this, since i am a lighter sleeper need one that was from Bestbuy.com it cools a room down in a matter of minutes, is quiet, and works perfectly after surviving a harsh minnesota winter with no cover or protection from the elements. from Target.com it is not a quiet unit, but i am willing to compromise to stay cool. from Target.com what's great about it:?cools quickly and quietly! from Bestbuy.com product was a perfect fit for window. from Walmart.com after driving about 45 minutes to and from a target store that actually had this in stock, i put it in my window this morning and the thing emitted very loud strange grinding sounds. from Target.com
