We have the WA-1220M model of this product (virtually identical). If you stand right in front on it, up to about 5 feet away, it's nice. from Amazon.com I liked the idea of a free standing unit and the idea of a unit that would restart after a power failure. BUT after installing this unit the room could hardly stay at 90 degrees. The manufacturer says "its BTUs are not the same as window units BTUs" !?!
