Pros: Strong air conditioner. Satisfactory heat pump. Cons: 1 Drains water.?2 Creates a negative airflow in the building that defeats the heater. Just to say that the computer regulator for heater/air con is just not working decently ! A big mistake to have acquired this Soleus device. from Amazon.com I live in a fairly humid area (averaging about 70% during summer months), and it leaks about 2 gallons of water per day. The little drainage spout on the bottom is useless -- no water actually passes through the drainage spout; it leaks out *around* the spout. To deal with the leakage problem, I've placed the unit on a plastic crate (the hanging-file-folder kind), tilted the left-front up slightly, to encourage the water to run to the right-back side, and placed a two-gallon bucket inside a twenty-gallon overflow tub underneath the right-back side. That said, it otherwise does a great job cooling the air. from Amazon.com This a/c unit works pretty well. I'm in a space about 13' by 35' which is almost twice the size that this was designed to cool. I dont have much to base this review off of being that this is my first portable a/c (beats using a fan hands down).
