This is a great bang for your buck. I have central air but was looking for something to help keep our upstairs game room a touch cooler in the summer. this will be perfect at a cheaper electric cost then other products. from Walmart.com After reading some reviews on other sites I picked this swamp cooler. It uses very little power. from Target.com I bought this cooler to try and cool my SMALL 1 bedroom LA apartment over this ridiculous heat!!! firstly the water container is open at the bottom so if you have carpet and you move the unit it spills out water secondly i currently have 2 huge fans blowing and added this unit and it feels NO different and lastly i had the unit less then an hour and the LCD stopped working!!! from Target.com Last year I had new windows installed. We decided to take out our window mounted cooler and not reinstall it to see if we could reap the benefit of the new windows in the summer time. Well the house gets hot! from Target.com In my building, I cannot use a window unit AC for my bedroom because of the firescape. I thought I would tryout this air cooler contraption. Well, I love everything about it! from Target.com This is the third brand that I have owned. I just received it today and I must say that the build quality is excellent. It works very well compare with the other two air coolers I have used. from Target.com This "air cooler" is beyond useless. The entire principle of an evaporative cooler is to add moisture to the air, thus bringing down the temp by a few degrees. from Target.com The Sunpentown evaporative cooler is a great product. The DRIER THE BETTER. Read the instructions and do some research on Personal Air Coolers/Portable Swamp Coolers or whatever you want to call them. The low ratings aren't because the thing doesn't work. from Amazon.com We just bought this yesterday, and it was 98 degree in san jose,ca. Our room was very small, so I thought maybe a swamp cooler will help, but NO, it made the room even hotter. ( I know it's not a AC, but a normal fan is better than this piece of ****..) I can't tell any difference between the "cool" mode and the "fan" mode. from Amazon.com
