the best part is--you can take the outtake tube out of the window on cooler days to let in fresh air. from Circuitcity.com it is a little noisy as some of the reviews have said but i dont think its that much worse than a window unit. from Circuitcity.com i have a small basement studio and it does cool it down effectively. from Circuitcity.com very nice portable air conditioner and heater from Homedepot.com foot studio. from Circuitcity.com i'd recomment this unit for dorm rooms, studio apartments, or single rooms/ areas,.the fact this unit is also a heater makes it truly a value. from Circuitcity.com if not, i will go back to the traditional window ac. from Circuitcity.com i have a 8000 btu window unit in a 1000 sq ft house and that cools the whole house. from Circuitcity.com this unit is terrific at cooling down a room & dehumidifying the air, but just a bit noisy from the air movement , tho not any noisier than a window unit. from Circuitcity.com i bought this portable ac on july 2007. from Circuitcity.com
