i favor motorola over others due to portability, durability, and (this sounds trivial) the "clip" that locks it to your gear.
the clip on the back is a little loose, so sometimes falls off my pants, but no big deal.
the radios themselves are small enought to fit in a pocket, or securely on the included belt clip.
for being a smaller size for a 2-way, they are very durable, weather resistant and can be easily carried either in a pocket or with the belt clip.
the belt clips are fine, no breakages there either.
all of the other models seem to have some plastic based belt clip or something.
the belt clip works terrific outdoors, but it must lay down when set on a teacher's desk.
i've dropped mine a few times from a moving bicycle and they have survived asphalt impact, so they seem to absorb shock well, which is a plus since the belt clip sucks....and the rechargeable battery
comes with the standard plastic belt clip swivel, which can stretch out easily.
these radios have a great quick release belt clip and seem to be well built.
we wore them on the backs using the clips so they didn't interfere with sitting or standing.
cons: will only take a flat clip for neck strap attachment.
cons: size, no vox, and the belt clip could be better.
i also tried to remove the belt clip from the radio in order to have clear access to the battery compartment.
